ISAAA, September 1999
The Council hosted a two-day meeting in September on behalf of ISAAA (International Service for the Acquisition of Agri-biotech Applications), a non-profit international organisation involved with the transfer of agrotechnology applications from industrial to developing countries. A distinguished delegation of senior scientists from East Asia met representatives from several organisations to find out at first-hand about the views of UK supporters and opponents of GM crops.
