Assessment activity 10 - Active citizenship
This is an assessment activity that can be adapted for either Science or Citizenship. The aim is to draw together the learning that has taken place through previous activities to develop either a presentation or campaign to help people understand the issues surrounding animal testing. This activity could equally be used as the basis for a small research project on the topic.
The focus is on action, as students are asked to participate, make presentations and engage with the local community. In science, a presentation may be more appropriate. In citizenship, a campaign would reinforce learning on participation.
