Public debate at the Dana Centre

The Council collaborated with the Dana Centre to organise a free public discussion on the ethics of research involving animals on 12th October 2005.

The Dana Centre is a place where adults can take part in debates about contemporary science, technology and culture. Professor Albert Weale, a former member of the Council chaired the event and the speakers were Professor Jonathan Wolff, Professor Steve Brown and Mr David Thomas (British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection). The event was fully booked and around 80 people attended.
