The ethics of healthcare related research in developing countries: a follow-up Discussion Paper

The discussions that took place at a follow-up Workshop held in Cape Town in February 2004 were published in a Discussion Paper on 17th March 2005. The Discussion Paper is a follow-up to the Council’s 2002 report on the ethics of research related to healthcare in developing countries. Since 2002, several international organisations have revised existing or new guidelines on conducting research in developing countries. The Discussion Paper explores their practical implications.
