The ethics of clinical research in developing countries: a Discussion Paper

Ethical issues arising from research conducted in developing countries, which is sponsored by developed countries have received relatively little international attention in the past. This paper is based on the deliberations and background papers presented at an international Workshop hosted by the Council in February 1999 and provides an introductory exploration of the key issues.
