    Today, the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, Royal College of Midwives, and Society and College of Radiographers have published a consensus statement on supporting women and their partners through prenatal screening ahead of the roll-out of non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) in the NHS in England.

The Nuffield Council on Bioethics is an independent body that examines and reports on ethical issues in biology and medicine. It was established by the Trustees of the Nuffield Foundation in 1991, and since 1994 it has been funded jointly by the Foundation, Wellcome and the Medical Research Council.
