Operations Administrator
Employment Type: Full time (35 hours per week), part time arrangements considered.
Location: Hybrid (3 days per week in our London office).
Salary: Starting from £35,518 (GBP).
We are looking for someone proactive and motivated with experience working in administrative roles and with knowledge of office systems and processes to support the senior leadership and wider NCOB team.
Responsibilities will include providing project support, updating our contact database, maintaining our work tracker, providing diary management support, and supporting our Operations Manager in the management of Board and Council meetings. Find out more about the role here.

Council Membership
Term: An initial term of three years, with the possibility of extension.
Location: Hybrid (some meetings are held in-person at our office in Farringdon, London).
Salary: Honorarium of £2,000 per annum, and travel expenses are paid.
We are recruiting three new Council members to contribute to, and engage in, the work of the NCOB. We are seeking to ensure representation from across the public, private and third sectors, and are looking to appoint members from each of the following areas of expertise:
- Data and AI ethics
- Bio-science / medical science
- Healthcare practice
Council members are part of the deliberative body that drives the intellectual function of the organisation. Core responsibilities include:
- Deciding questions of strategic direction and topic identification.
- Being part of Advisory Groups that provide advice and guidance on priority areas, topic selection and projects.
- Ensuring a thorough horizon scanning process.
- Scrutinising and ensuring the quality of outputs at key stages during projects so as to ultimately adopt them.
- Deciding on the direction, function and membership of the organisation.
- Providing support and advice to the Executive.
