The Council is delighted to be a sponsor of the 13th World Congress of the International Association of Bioethics (IAB 2016), taking place in Edinburgh on 14-17 June 2016. The conference is the world’s largest gathering of academics, practitioners and experts in the field of bioethics. This year, the conference themes are:
  • Arts and ethics

  • Global bioethics

  • Individuals, public interests and public goods

  • Public health, ethics and law


The programme for the conference is now taking shape, and includes keynote presentations from global thought leaders, dedicated activities for early career researchers, networking and social events, exhibitions and public performances exploring emerging issues in bioethics, global health, public ethics and law, and the relationship between science, medicine, ethics and the arts.

The deadline for submitting an abstract has been extended to Friday 22 January 2016. More details on how to submit an abstract can be found at http://iab2016.com/submission-of-abstracts/
