The event was attended by over 90 people with a professional or personal interest in bioethics and global health. Before Dr Jesani’s talk began, guests enjoyed a screening of the winners of the Council’s student film-making competition, Box Office Bioethics.

Dr Jesani shared his insights on the interests and actors involved in shaping global health policies and their impact on developing countries, using India as a case study.

The lecture was received with great interest, and it was followed by lively and engaged discussion which continued during a drinks reception hosted by the Council afterwards.
