Disagreements between parents and treating teams about the care of critically ill children: surveys for professionals

Thank you for your interest in completing our survey, which will inform an independent review on disagreements in the care of critically ill children in England.

The survey links were available to complete until midday, Thursday 22 June 2023, and are now closed.

The surveys asked questions about the causes and impacts of such disagreements, as well as good practice in resolving them. The evidence that we hear through these surveys will be crucial to ensure that our review is robust and meaningful, and that any recommendations made are practically implementable.

One of our surveys was aimed at healthcare professionals working in England with experience of disagreements in the care of critically ill children. You can find an infographic containing some findings from our survey for healthcare professionals here, or below.

For any questions about our surveys or further information on the independent review, please see our website for more details or contact the team at children@nuffieldbioethics.org.
