Current Project

Current project

An independent review of disagreements in the care of critically ill children.

Infant foot with IV line

We are running an open call for evidence to inform our independent review of disagreements in the care of critically ill children in England.

The call for evidence is one of a number of research activities we will undertake on this topic over spring and summer 2023, which will include interviews, surveys and workshops with various stakeholders.

Anyone is welcome to respond to the call for evidence, but it may be particularly suited to organisations or individuals with professional or research/academic experience of disagreements about the care of critically ill children. If you would like further guidance about responding to the call for evidence, please contact us at children@nuffieldbioethics.org and we can advise on this, and on other opportunities there will be to provide your views.

Details about what to include in a written response, and how to respond, can be found in the call for evidence document here.

Responses will be accepted until midday on 14 April 2023.

UPDATE: We have extended the deadline for responses to our call for evidence until midday on Friday 14 April 2023.
